Obama on 60 Minutes

President Obama's interview on 60 Minutes focuses on the economy and the shifting of power in Congress. Now, the President is to serve his last two years of his term with a Republican majority in the House. In the interview, Obama acknowledges that this will be tough. However, he does show optimism that progress can be made through compromise.

I think President Obama does a good job of taking the bullets of blame. As a President, he gets all the bad rep even though he is not completely responsible for the country's problems. I also think people forget to look at the positives of Obama's presidency. Just recently, Kokomo was noted as a city saved by his stimulus bill. I hope that in these next two years, progress can be made towards fixing our economy and closing the gap between Republicans and Democrats.

  1. I do like the way that presidents in recent years have taken blame for what they have done. It show good leadership from them and their respective party. He has tried more recently to make better moves to a stronger America.

  2. i agree with Harrison. Obama is not the blame for the economy. he is just the person who has to make the decisions to fix it. Instead of blaming him, the republicans should try and help him.

  3. I agree with Harrison as well. President Obama cant fix the economy by himself. It needs to be a team effort. That would include supporters and haters.
